Achievements/Awards
During my freshman year of college, I competed against hundreds of students in Irvine Hacks, a coding competition hosted by UCI. My side of our project mainly focused on creating art for our website "Sonder", which was a project made to help connect students with one another anonymously. Since the word sonder is defined as the realization that other people share lives as unique and complex as your own, my goal with my art was to reflect the different lives that UCI students can experience through varying art styles.
The project gave me a chance to experiment with Procreate, an app that I was pretty unfamiliar with at the time. I was also struggling with style inconsistency issues at the time, so the different art styles were a way to help me branch out, combat art block, and embrace the different ways I like to illustrate.
