Video Editing/Motion Graphics

I've been editing videos for most of my life, but my more sophisticated works are available on my YouTube channel, where I showcase myself playing games and vlogs of my life. My editing style is more on the humorous side, and I like using graphics and a variety of techniques to tell a story and set a mood for my viewers.

01

This video is my first try at making gaming videos for a while, and the main subject is that I spent money on the game and jokingly made it my whole personality for the entire video. It contains a lot of scenes that reference said purchase, as well as other games or moments between my friends. A lot of the editing is centered around those references to add some clarity for viewers and emphasize the jokes being made.

For this project, I wanted to base part of it around a show that inspired a lot of creative pursuits for me: To Be Hero X. Since the video is about two separate topics: Reacting to the show with my friend, and playing games with my friend group, I wanted to make each part themed around their respective topic, as shown by the To Be Hero: X inspired transitions in the first part, and the standard editing I use in the second part. The video also pokes fun at my reaction to the depressing episode I watched a few times as a running joke.

This video's style is mainly centered around visual gags to highlight my feelings on Genshin Impact's gacha system and characters. It was a big step in learning how to combine filters, keyframing, and motion graphics together to exaggerate and make jokes out of what I was saying.

For this project, I wanted to make a vlog showcasing the annual beach trip I have with my friends every summer. It's a day that spawns a lot of good memories for my friends and I, so the editing is meant to highlight the funny moments and interactions we have as a friend group.
